Microblading
Microblading is a semi-permanent brow tattoo, using a sterile tool and the delicate process scratching in small tattoo strokes into the brows to mimic natural hairs.

What is the result?
The most subtle of the brow tattoo techniques. The result is a lightly enhanced eyebrow that is very symmetrical and a little more full.
Who is the service ideal for?
This technique is ideal for someone who has a moderate amount of hair in their brows but are looking to subtly enhance their brows. If you have more sparse, coarse hair, or significant gaps in your brows, you would be better suited for a combo brow.
How long does it last?
With having two sessions, the result can last 1-3 years. Factors that contribute to how long it lasts depends on skin type, lifestyle, and colour.
For example, if someone works out often, they will sweat more frequently and in turn will cause the pigment to lighten sooner.
If someone is in the sun quite frequently, their brows will fade sooner. We always recommend wearing SPF all year round.
If someone frequently gets facial treatments, or consistently using skincare products containing active exfoliants, their brows will likely fade sooner.
Lastly, the more oily the skin type, the sooner their brows will typically fade.
Who is this service not ideal for?
Those who have an oily skin type.
Those with very coarse brow hair as it can be more difficult to get a natural blend without any shading done.
Combo Brow
The Combo Brow is the combination of microblading and shading. First the foundation of the shape will be done with microblading to give the natural appearance of hairs. Second, machine shading is done by gently dusting in pigment to give depth and fullness in between the hair strokes.
The best part is that we can go as soft or as full as we would like and can prioritize the areas that need more attention. This is a very customizable brow and is our most popular technique!

We call this "the best of both worlds". The client will get a very polished and full result, yet natural and realistic.
Who is the service ideal for?
This service is great for anyone but is great for people wanting a more filled in appearance or for those who need to seamlessly blend areas that have no hair with areas that do. If you have big gaps in your brows or very coarse brow hair, then this technique would be perfect for you.
How long does it last?

*Overall, we have found that the Combo Brow does last longer as the shading adds more depth and therefore the colour will fade more evenly, and maintain the overall shape over time.
Contraindications:
This treatment may not be for you if any of the following apply:
- Are pregnant or nursing
- Are using skincare containing retinol, AHAs/BHAs, hydroquinone, and benzoyl peroxide. (Must discontinue use a minimum of 14 days prior to the appointment)
- Have had a chemical peel within the last 4 weeks
- Has had Botox done within the last 2 weeks
- Are taking Accutane (must be off for at least 6 Months)
- Are taking antibiotics
- Are taking prescription blood thinning medications (Must discontinue use 1 week prior to the appointment)
- Are diabetic (Consult your doctor to receive a note)
- Undergoing Chemotherapy
- Have skin conditions such as severe acne, keloid scarring, eczema or psoriasis (in the area to be treated)
- Sick with a cold or flu-like virus
- Have a sunburn
How to prepare for the appointment:
- Discontinue the use of skincare containing retinol, AHAs/BHAs, hydroquinone, and benzoyl peroxide 2 weeks prior to the treatment.
- Avoid having facials treatments or chemical peels 4 weeks prior
- Avoid sun/tanning bed exposure for 2 weeks BEFORE and AFTER the procedure. The skin can be extremely sensitive and irritated from a sunburn, so we cannot perform the treatment if there is a sunburn present. If the client has a rich, and recent tan, the skin will naturally exfoliate at a quicker rate, and therefore the pigment will lighten more than the average.
- Do not consume alcohol, caffeine or over the counter blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen) 48 hours before your procedure, to avoid excess bleeding. Excess caffeine can also tend to make the client more sensitive to pain.
- If they are planning to have a Brow Lamination or a Hybrid Brow Tint service done, it must be done no sooner than 6 weeks prior to your appointment. Brow lamination can alter the natural direction of the brow hair, and we want to ensure that when we do the microblading treatment, we blend the strokes as best as possible with the natural hair pattern.
- If you are planning on having their brows tidied up before the microblading treatment, waxing or threading services must be done at least 72 hours prior. The skin can be very sensitive after having them waxed/threaded and we do not want to cause irritation or a reaction.
- If you would like to do a classic brow tinting, that must be done at least one week prior.
- Botox & Fillers must be avoided two weeks before and after the treatment.
- It’s notable to know that booking your appointment near your monthly cycle can make you more sensitive.

- Avoid sun exposure, pools/hot tubs/steam rooms, excessive sweating for 2 weeks.
- Cannot wear makeup on the brows for 2 weeks.
- Avoid exfoliants on the forehead area for 4 weeks. (this includes facial treatments)
- Avoid brow waxing/threading for 4 weeks.
What is the healing process like?
Here are a few key points to know, but we will discuss everything in detail with you on the day of your appointment.
- It takes approximately 10 days to 2 weeks to topically heal. The true, finished result will take 4 weeks.
- They will look quite dark for the first week.
- There is some minor peeling and flaking.
- Can be a little itchy and tight feeling.

Does it hurt?
We use excellent numbing products and our clients are very comfortable. Most will say it is a 2-3 out of 10, if any.
Can I get them wet?
We suggest to avoid swimming for two weeks, but it is okay if your brows get a little wet in the shower. Just be sure to blot them dry immediately after with paper towel.
Will they heal orange?
The pigments we use are very stable and do not change tone over time. They may fade and lose their vibrancy, but will not turn orange.
Is it safe?
Absolutely. The tools we use are sterile and everything used in the treatment is disposed of afterward.
Can I have this service done while pregnant/breastfeeding?
No. You can have this service done when you have stopped breastfeeding for a minimum of 6 weeks.
Can you do a touch-up for me if I have had my brows previously done somewhere else?
